Goodbye Gucci, hello Slutsky.
It’s jean jacket time! But, plain jean jackets can be so boring.
If you planned ahead, you would have bounced over to AliExpress (like I did) and bought the jackets and the patches well in advance. But, if you didn’t plan ahead (like 6 months ahead with AliExpress! ha), then head out and buy a jean jacket and some patches from any local store.
Making a personalized jacket is so easy. Here’s how it is done:
- Buy a jean jacket;
- Buy all the patches you want, including letters
- Grab a tea towel, and turn on your iron
- Layout some patches where you want them, put the tea towel over the patches, and iron for 30 seconds.
- Let cool.
The patches started to fall off my jacket pretty quickly, so I brought the jacket into a dry-cleaner to have them sewed on (note to self: buy a sewing machine and learn how to use it).
There’s also this product called Steam-a-Seam, which eliminates the need to sew. Maybe I’ll check it out for future endeavours.
Now – only if we could get Haddie to wear her awesome new jacket.
